Sasha Biloshisky (Funk Format / ArtGility / Rawkus City / Soul Rawkus CIC) is an international movement artist, artistic director, producer, Hip-Hop dance educator and Bboy who inspires people to follow their passions by enabling their creative potential and building their self-belief through arts, collaborations and positive energy.
Based in Portsmouth, he is passionate about developing arts in the city and creating opportunities for other creatives.
Sasha is recognized as the leading force in Hip-Hop dance in the Solent and Southern regions of the UK. With an international artistic career spanning over two decades, Sasha has showcased his talents on prestigious stages, including the Olympic Opening Ceremonies, West End productions and all of the UK music arenas. His collaborations with renowned artists such as Sean Paul, Kylie, and Boy George have solidified his status as a versatile and sought-after performer, choreographer and producer.
Beyond his artistic accomplishments, Sasha is deeply dedicated to fostering the next generation of dancers and artists. As the founder of Funk Format Soul Rawkus, a leading Hip-Hop dance company, he has created a platform for aspiring dancers to develop their skills and explore their creativity.
Sasha’s festival Rawkus City – Portsmouth’s first Hip-Hop Arts festival has established Portsmouth as one of the key cities for cultivating and growing Authentic Street dance, Hip-Hop culture and dance theatre.
Sasha’s inclusive and open approach welcomes everyone to engage with his work through community projects, talks, performances, social dance research, events and weekly dance skills sessions.
