Wilder Voices Performance and Recording Day

Date: 25th October
Time: 9.30-17.00
Location: Casemates Recording Studio, Hilsea
Cost: Free

Pens of the Earth are recording an audiobook version of their book “Wild Seas, Wilder Cities” in Portsmouth and you can be part of it!

They’re looking for a range of “Wilder Voices” to perform and record pieces from the book. No experience is necessary, so why not give it a go?

The day is led by Christine Lawrence, an experienced performer, actor and workshop tutor.

Ticket registration will close one week before the workshop to allow pieces to be allocated in advance, via Christine, who will contact you to discuss this.

After editing is complete, all readers will receive a copy of their own recording.

“Wild Seas, Wilder Cities” is a collection of stories, poems and articles from 54 unique contributors, all concerned with showing the positive side of our relationship with the earth. Written in collaboration with local environmentalists, it celebrates the small changes happening in our city and elsewhere, and what can be achieved when we come together to act, create and use our voices.

“Wild Seas, Wilder Cities” is sold to raise money for the vital work of seagrass restoration and maintenance in the Solent. The audiobook will also be sold to support this cause.
