Big Screen Poetry is part of IN OUR WORDS, a year-long festival of literature, literacy, and storytelling which is designed to inspire, engage, and connect people of all ages.

To celebrate National Poetry Day on October 2nd, we’ve teamed up with Portsmouth Creates to celebrate the magic of the written and spoken word.

Local poets will be sharing a short video of themselves performing an original poem of their own for The Big Screen.

Watched by more than a 25,000 weekly passing audience, this is an exciting way for poets to showcase their talent and engage with people who may not typically read poetry.
