INCLUSION IN THE ARTS – WE CONNECT 2025

On Thursday 25th September 2025, Portsmouth’s creative community will gather at Portsmouth Guildhall for Inclusion in The Arts – WE CONNECT 2025, a day dedicated to championing inclusion and collaboration for the city’s cultural sector.

Curated by Portsmouth Creates in partnership with This New Ground, the conference will feature panel talks that will explore subjects such as Working with Learning Disabled Artists and How we Make Governance Accessible. There will also be participatory, creative workshops where delegates can take part in activities such as Inclusive Digital Art and Puffing and Wooling. We Connect always champions the need to develop our skills, at this year’s event there will also be the opportunity for delegates to take part in skills sharing sessions, some of these include Working Internationally and Diversifying Income.

Gemma Nichols, CEO of Portsmouth Creates, says: “We Connect is about bringing people together on an annual basis to share ideas, challenge perspectives, and collaborate for a stronger, inclusive creative sector in Portsmouth. This year will mark our third year of the conference, and we are so pleased to be delivering this in partnership with our colleagues from This New Ground.”
